2025 Show postponed!

At the recent AGM of the Theale Show current chair Andy Hall explained that, due to work commitments, he is unable to continue and so Lesley Luke has kindly stepped in as interim chair.

We have still been unable to recruit new help to run and organise the show.  So, we have taken the reluctant decision to postpone the Show for one year only.  We are hoping the local community will rally to support the launch of the Show again on Saturday 5th September 2026.

The Show is an important part of village life, and we are committed to making the 2026 event even more special. We welcome your input, ideas and manpower as we begin planning the 2026 Show.  Want to volunteer and join us?  Contact us or leave a message on 01934 806157.

During 2025 we are planning to organise a number of social events, to maintain contact with the community and raise funds for future shows.

We will be in touch later detailing the planned events and explaining our plans for relaunched Show in 2026!

Thank you!

It’s a unique combination of a family afternoon and evening out, with lots of stalls, attractions and events, combined with our famous Competition of local produce with classes for Crafts, Baking, Flowers, Fruits & Vegetables, Photography and many more, including Classic Vehicles & Tractors!

Our Show was opened officially at 2.30 by Claire Carter, popular BBC Somerset broadcaster.

Even if you didn’t get round to entering anything in our Competition, everyone enjoyed themselves in our enchanting village orchard for the afternoon, to not only admire the quality of locally home-grown produce, arts and crafts, but also to enjoy the variety of stalls, activities, food options and the Green Man bar, open during the Show.

There were plenty of activities for kids too, including a fancy dress competition starting at 2pm, face-painting, crafts and a pirate treasure hunt. It really is a fun-filled, great value family afternoon out.

The afternoon slid nicely (well, after a bit of rain….) into an evening of live entertainment, featuring the Swamp Stomp String Band and the brilliant Joe Strouzer, with freshly baked pizzas from a wood burning oven and a Happy Hour at the bar.

This year, we had over 120 different competition classes, ranging from Children’s Classes with 3 different age groups, which were all free to enter:

To all our Adult Classes, which only cost £1 per entry:

And not forgetting our famous “Ted’s Tater’s” Competition
