Just had a lovely visit from Phil Stott of Newtown Farm.
He’s recently been handed a Show Prize Card his mother won in the very first Show! The card had languished in a photo album for nearly 80 years!
Here’s a photo of his proudly showing both this card and his First Place Prize Card from the 2023 Show.
Also, note the date of the first Show – it wasn’t 1943 as we’d originally thought, but 16th September 1944 – I wonder when it changed to the first Saturday in September?
